These Terms of Service govern your use of RDTSearch CLI and the RDTvlokip Search API accessed through it. By installing or using the CLI, you agree to the terms below.
1. Description of the service
RDTSearch CLI is a free, open-source terminal client for RDTvlokip Search, an independent, privacy-first French search engine. The CLI itself collects no personal data; it only forwards your search queries to the RDTvlokip Search API to retrieve results.
2. Open source license
RDTSearch CLI is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPLv3). You are free to use, study, modify, and redistribute the source code under the terms of that license.
If you run a modified version of the CLI as a network service, you must make its source code available to the users of that service, as required by the AGPLv3.
3. Hosting
This website (rdtsearch.rdtvlokip.fr) is hosted by Vercel Inc. (San Francisco, California, USA). The RDTvlokip Search API that the CLI connects to is hosted on servers located in Germany.
These hosting providers may process standard technical logs (such as IP address and request timestamps) as needed to operate, secure, and monitor their infrastructure. RDTSearch CLI itself adds no tracking or analytics on top of that.
4. API usage and limits
Access to the RDTvlokip Search API through the CLI is provided free of charge for anonymous use, subject to fair-use limits. For example, the backlinks endpoint is limited to 10 backlinks per analysis and 3 analyses per day for anonymous users; export and higher limits are reserved for premium accounts.
These limits may be adjusted at any time to keep the service available and reliable for everyone.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the CLI or the API to send excessive, automated, or abusive traffic, to circumvent rate limits or quotas, or to use the service for any unlawful purpose.
6. Intellectual property
The "RDTSearch" and "RDTvlokip" names and their associated logos identify this project and its author. The CLI's source code is licensed under the AGPLv3 as described above. This website's own content (text and design, as opposed to the CLI's source code) may not be reproduced without permission.
7. No warranty
The CLI and the API are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RDTvlokip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the CLI or the API.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be submitted to the competent French courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply in your country of residence.
10. Changes to these terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the CLI or the API after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
